Preproduction

This is the preliminary work I did before starting the animation which includes: my previous animation, storyboard, and the final animatic.

Previous Animation: "My Perfect Sandwich"

This was the animation project I did back when I was a senior in high school (year 2017-2018) in collaboration with Armando Perez III and Javier Pardo. It was animated in Adobe Animate (frame by frame) and edited in Final Cut Pro X. We ended up earning a scholarship from "Digicom 2018" for our studies from this project. Special thanks to the "Digital Arts and Technology Academy," the program we were enrolled in back in high school, which offered our resources to create this work.

It is very rusty in many areas as we were self-teaching ourselves the Adobe Suite and didn't understand many film and animation concepts such as: eyelines, perspective, line weight, human anatomy, and animating all on 1's rather than 2's. So I drew 24 frames per second rather than 12 which doubled the work. Yikes. No animatic either, we just went straight in. But the passion was and is definitely there, and we were extremely proud to have accomplished this. Now, I am remaking this using what I've learned from my studies in animation and film. Stay tuned!

Storyboard: "Warm and Moist"

Lo and behold, the new storyboard! I changed up the shots, creating a more dynamic feel to the new animation.

Animatic: "Warm and Moist"

The animatic was created using Storyboard Pro. I added changes from what was suggested by my professor and peers, so there are a few extra shots that weren't in the storyboard.
